Catterina Biography
Catterina is an indie folk singer-songwriter who makes music about love, life, and all the emotions that weave in and out of a sensitive heart. Her angelic, full-bodied vocals convey a mesmerizing intensity to her poetic lyrics. She began performing her limited discography around Houston in venues such as The House of Blues and White Oak Music Hall before headlining at the Heights Theater.
Catterina has performed on a variety of notable stages, including the David Rubenstein Atrium at Lincoln Center, the Annapolis Songwriters Festival, White Oak Music Hall, City Winery Nashville, Rockwood Music Hall NYC, Eddie's Attic, House of Blues Houston, and DC9, opening for and sharing stages with Blondie, LeAnn Rimes, Tamino, Sandra Bernhard, Madison Cunningham, Julia Cole, Lucinda Williams, and others.
Her music fuses a variety of genres such as folk, R&B, and pop, and gravitates towards fans of artists such as Joni Mitchell, Lizzy McAlpine, and Amy Winehouse. Originally from Brooklyn, Catterina now lives in Houston, allowing her to embrace influences from both states’ rich histories and cultures. She released her debut EP Four Twenty One, an exploration of healing after a lost love, in January 2022.
