Al is a master all unto his own. Of course Gumbi and his guys all compliment him so well. They just don't make music like this anymore, and they certainly don't play it like Al does.

Al and his band brought the early electric songs alive. What an amazing group of musicians. If you are a fan of this early era of Al’s music, you would be a fool not to hear them in person.

Great show! The Pabst is an excellent venue and we had great seats. Al did 2 sets, mainly electric with a lot of songs from the early albums, though he did start the second set off with a really cool acoustic section. Al was a good storyteller, especially liked the story about how he connected with Chick Corea and Return to Forever back when he was 19. Really talented band, Philippe Saisse on keys, Gumbi Ortiz on percussion. Great evening, great music!

Al Di Meola is still one of the best guitar players in the world and proved it at this show. Practically left me speechless. He is fast, but articulate, stylish and yet powerful. This show was simply amazing and he has a very, very fine band, too. A night to remember!!!

The show was fantastic. First night of the night tour, a couple sound issues to work out, but the band starting humming along after a couple song. Al was very engaging with the audience. As it was a retrospective of the Electric Years - the setlist was widely known, which made it all more exciting knowing a favorite tune was coming. Up - the percussion duo was excellent.
The acoustic pieces after intermission were challenging yet, awe inspiring.
The only downside was I think they were running late and had to halt the show before the big anticipated finale - Race With Devil On Spanish Highway. Still was an excellent show and great return to form.

Yesterday we had a fantastic time in the Parker Playhouse at Al Di Meola's concert in Fort Lauderdale. It was a world-class performance! He always was one of my favorite jazz guitar players but yesterday I rediscovered him. Looking at Al Di Meola and his performance it is hard to believe that this man is already 70.

A must see show, especially if you're a a old Al Di Meola fan. Totally electric primarily playing his 71 LP. Did have the PRS and a Tele on stage but neither were used. Very thankful I got to witness in person

Another fantastic show. He has the resume and credentials and, unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past 40+ years is one of the greatest of all time. The venue is intimate but a little too crowded. This time he broke out his Les Paul. He played the classics from way back. He still has his chops. He’ll be 70 in July but one would guess he was in his 50’s. I won’t miss one of his shows.

This was my first show at City Winery. Very clean and comfortable venue,; service was good, and sound system was excellent. Al Di Meola and his band were amazingly tight, yet whimsical, funny, and creative. Fantastic performance, and I was able to grab a signed guitar book and CD from the merch table!

I drove down to Atlanta from South Carolina last Tuesday. I had to see there, at City Winery this amazing guitar player whose music I used to savoure long time ago, since the seventies. I was very excited when I got to the place the same day around 7.30 pm. The concert itself started at 8.30.
It was a wonderful Al DiMeola very grateful to be back after his on-stage heart attack in Roumanie, a couple of months ago. He was in the mood to give his best and the public was so glad. Good lines, good articulation, amazing speed, as usual. With him on stage, were the great Philip Saisse, a young drummer, a bass player from Venezuela and I guess a Cuban to percussion.
Good sound. Great musicians. Good food. What else more to have an astonishing night with Al, in City Winery.
I will remember that night for many years to come and in addition I will be able to relive it “a volo” through the great recordings I did.

Fabulous first concert of the year! Great to see Al DiMeola back up on stage, gave a concert I will be raving about for a long time. Can't wait for the new album also.
First time for us to go to the Heights Theatre, had great seats, enjoyed the show, and will definitely go back again.

The Al Di Meola concert was fantastic. The music was incredible and the stories were great too. I have been an Al Di Meola fan for 40 years and this was my first time seeing him. The musicians he had with him were amazing too. Astounding show!

The show was pretty great. Wasn't too thrilled about the usher stopping me from filming. C'mon man? Al's heyday is long gone. I did get one song filmed. Wasn't even my goal. People should know what to expect for their money. Crowd was great. Average age was 70, I'd say. His story about the end of Mediterranean Sundance is B.S. They rushed through it so fast that I left before they finished. Sadness because the rest of the show was fairly spot on. One song from Elegant Gypsy was MS. Another sadness seeing as that's what sold the most. Whatever...

AL was phenomenal as always every time I seen him. The MIM was a very intimate setting with great acoustics and an over all great experience. And being Jersey Italian I had to see my favorite musician of all time. The funny thing is that I was staying in the same hotel as AL's tour manager in Tempe...

What a great concert, what a nice location!
The setlist was very nice. Song after song lead through a magic journey. Three musicians with incredible abilities to support each others ideas and vibes. It was a great evening.

Despite some technical issues with his acoustic guitars, he took it all in stride and put on a phenomenal show. His connection with the audience is a close one and comes across very authentic and down to earth.

Truly enjoyed this concert! Tickets were a birthday gift to my husband who has been studying and following Al Di Meola for nearly 40 years. The entire show was fantastic, full of variety. The chemistry between Al, Amit Kavthekar and Richie Morales was fun and certainly kept us engaged through the entire performance. LOVED the background stories Al shared about the “behind the songs” - brought even more life to entire night! Also, the venue was really lovely.

Seeing DiMeola last night was a treat. He still has that bravado with his incredible chops but time has also opened him up to being a sweet likable guy. His stories between songs were charming and quite funny. His New Yorker sense of attitude was on display. He was animated and engaging. The best song of the night for me was Senior Mouse, the Chick Corea classic. Wonderful evening.

Front row center. Al greeted everyone at table, shook hands with entire band during exit. He tossed his picks to us but we allow others partake. One of the best productions I've seen of Al. ♡

Al’s plane was delayed so he arrived late. Jordan Rudess opened and was excellent. Al came on and did a smattering of acoustic stuff from about ‘94 to present. Rudess joined him for the encore of Mediterranean Sundance and they smashed it!
The acoustics of the UC Theater were fantastic. I was tired and annoyed that everything started so late, but the great music and great sound fixed it all.
