Sweet Sally Biography

Sweet Sally is Lucy Khadder (17), Sophia Sparks (16), and Clare O'Grady (17). Lucy and Sophia have been performing together for over four years as a duo and with their bands, Salty Sally and Birches Bend. Their impeccable musicianship and vocal harmonies as well as intelligent songwriting are far beyond their years as they share choice covers, fiddle tunes, and originals. Both are students at Oakland School for the Arts, and attend Oaktown Jazz workshops in their spare time. They perform regularly at festivals, farmer's markets, and cafés as the trio or their quartet, Salty Sally.

Salty Sally features Naima Nascimiento (vocals, guitar, fiddle) and MK Martinez Griffith (cello) along with Lucy and Sophia. Their stylings range from moving originals to unexpected covers from a range of artists including Norah Jones and Michael Jackson. They have been featured at such festivals as Sugar Pine Music Festival, CBA Father's Day Bluegrass Festival, CBA Fall Campout and Plumas Americana Festival.
