loophole_sessions

loophole are a trio of musicians on the cutting edge of music.
Over the years of their intensive collaboration and tinkering,
the three have found their very own way of making and
producing music - and have developed an original style. It
combines ambient sound textures with head bobbing grooves and
catchy hooks. Inspired by soul music, hip hop and the
expressiveness of jazz, their music is beat driven but at the
same time atmospheric and melancholic. By improvising with
weird glitchy loops and letting the collective momentum decide
where the journey goes, the group has found a unique style
that feels organic and leaves the listener curious for more.
Since Dave, Michel and Claude form the core of the project,
but also surround themselves with new musicians, the musical
cosmos of the project is constantly growing and is shaped and
formed by all participants. Their debut album Royal Sessions,
which was recorded in 2020 during the lockdown at the
Kulturlokal Royal in Baden, was a complete success and since
its release in October 2021 has recorded various placements in
renowned jazz playlists and more than 500,000 plays on Spotify
alone. For their latest releases entitled UUUUH and No Need
they were able to get James Gruntz and Junes on board for
featurings.
