Nina Jo's new project, Out of the Darkness is finally streaming an we're here to celebrate with a full band. Nina Jo is supported by producer Ed Tree on lead guitar, Scott Babcock on drums and percussion and Dave Carpenter on bass.
Nina Jo grew up in Ojai and so did some of these songs.

Nina Jo Smith Biography
Songwriter/poet Nina Jo plays guitar and ukulele. Nina Jo's new project, Out of the Darkness is due February 9, 2024. These songs and poems were written over the past ten years, during which we endured dark political times and a pandemic. Emerging from that time with damaged lungs, Nina Jo reconstructed her voice, resulting in a grittier tone but with increasing clarity of thought and feeling.
The title song, Out of the Darkness, by Tom Prasada-Rao, is an offering of hope in dark times. Together we can be a lighthouse to help navigate dangerous waters.
This is Nina Jo Smith’s second studio album, released at age 70.
