Keith Burke and the little Black Book Biography

Keith Burke - Songwriter, singer and storyteller
Keith grew up in the North County Dublin town of Skerries. Many have now forgotten the sunny July days of 1988 and 1989 when he rose to fame, winning first prize in the Skerries Harvest Festival Sandcastle Competition. He still has the plaques in the attic. By day he’s a Maths and Physics teacher to city-centre teenagers. He has spent over twenty years playing guitar and singing in the bars and venues around Dublin city, often with his band The Little Black Book.

His song "The last 33 bus" chronicles a late-night, almost-successful, romantic encounter with a girl on a bus journey home. He has proudly sung it during concerts in countries including the USA, Germany, Lebanon, Italy and Egypt where he shares the meaning of “double-decker” and “nitelink” for the locals. Keith is currently releasing the single “That’s where the bees loved to go” from his fourth studio album. His songs have had national radio play on RTE 1, NewsTalk and many regional radio stations as well as T.V. both in Ireland and abroad.
