RALLY The Band Biography
RALLY invokes the emotions of heartbreak yet shines with euphoric rays of sun inherent throughout their music discography, reminiscent of a dream vacation on white sand beaches and towering coastal cliff sides.
After the breakout success of their single “Cherry”, Alec Whitaker wanted to immerse his listeners further. Shortly after a sorrowful divorce, Alec took a solo trip to the West Coast where he’d reflect and meditate. From San Fransisco to Seattle, and meetings with old friends to complete strangers, Alec would come home and write the bands debut 2-part Album: Songs From A Hotel Room. An album reflecting on exciting new relationships, heartbreak, grief, trauma, and acceptance.
Rejecting conventional methods, Alec recorded, mixed, and mastered the album from the basement of his parent’s home in Utah to capture a more lived-in experience. It is through this personal homey touch and immersive method which Alec persists in maintaining, which keeps listeners coming there and back again and indelibly drives the mantra of the band's music:
The music you can RALLY behind.
