Joy Clark
Joy Clark is a New Orleans singer-songwriter, lyrical guitarist and composer who creates soulful original compositions that celebrate peace and the undeniable power of love. Her intricate rhythms and warm melodies reveal a sweet vulnerability that enchants her audiences around the world. Like so many other artists in New Orleans, Joy’s first stage was in church. Growing up the daughter of a minister, she learned to create an atmosphere ripe for an emotional experience. So it’s no wonder she believes music is her ministry and intimacy is her superpower.

Secret Emchy Society
As soon as you hear Emchy’s big, boisterous voice, it’s easy to be drawn in as she uses her rich tone to color lyrics about drinkin’, dancin’, and lovin’. Gold Country / Country Gold is an album that’s as rowdy as it is vulnerable, as loud as it is quiet. All the emotions Emchy felt, as her life as a musician turned upside down during the pandemic, were embraced then put back into the world in song. It’s a hell of a ride, and everyone is invited to the party.

The Secret Emchy Society Biography
"With a casual Bakersfield-rockabilly blend, Secret Emchy Society once again captivates anyone within earshot." - Americana Highways
Secret Emchy Society has been named by TheBoot.com as one of the Ten Queer Country Bands for Real Country Music Fans to Listen To, a quadruple nominee for Best Live Band by the Bay Area Reporter, is featured in the documentary Lavender Outlaws, and landed in End of Year 'Best Of' lists from No Depression, Concert Hopper, and the Atlanta Auditory Association. Their raw, honest, and authentic listening experience is a welcome middle finger to modern country, offering up a brand of smoke-filled honky-tonk that's traditional as they come -- albeit delivered with a fiery, punk disposition.
Lead singer Cindy Emch, sometimes known as the 'First Lady of Queer Country' is known for her distinct voice and ability to blend Americana, California Country, Hellbilly, Goth, and Honky Tonk, spinning radically distinctive tales from her singular perspective. NoDepression says "One could describe Emch as if Nick Cave had grown up in Bakersfield with a dynamic swagger that could part the Red Sea."
