About this concert
Deeply rooted in the rich sounds of American folk and country music, Barrigar, Cadley and Colton have been captivating audiences across the region for many years. Each performer, with their respective partners, will present their own unique version of this authentic sound, as they come together for this one very special evening of music.
Loren Barrigar started playing guitar when he was four years old— a natural prodigy who by the age of six was playing the Chet Atkins hit “Yackety Axe” in front of thousands of country music fans at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville. Schooled by his dad in fingerstyle picking, Loren’s son, LJ Barrigar, is fast becoming an accomplished player in his own right.
Donna Colton has been singing, writing, and playing in the CNY music scene since the mid ‘80s, partnering with her husband, Sam Patterelli, to create a soulful, bluesy and original duo that is both powerful and intimate.
John Cadley is an award-winning songwriter with a number of national covers to his credit, including his song “Time,” which became a #1 hit for former Ricky Skaggs band member, Lou Reid. Along with his wife, Cathy, The Cadleys present a show filled with original songs, “high, lonesome” harmony singing, and bluegrass-style guitar playing

The Cadleys Biography
The Cadleys have been entertaining audiences throughout Upstate New York and New England with their powerful mix of traditional bluegrass, “new acoustic” a la Alison Krauss, and many of John’s originals, which have been recorded by national artists such as Jim Hurst (five-time IBMA guitar player of the year), Missy Raines (five-time IBMA bass player of the year), Grammy-nominated and world renowned banjo player Tony Trischka, Washington, DC, recording artist Dede Wyland, Amy Gallatin and Stillwaters, famed guitarist Richard Kiser, and Lou Reid, who, with his band Carolina, took John’s song “Time” to the #1 spot on the bluegrass music charts, where it remained for three months and was performed by Lou, Vince Gill, and Ricky Skaggs on The Grand Ol’ Opry.
The Cadleys’ music has been captured on seven CDs—two with John and The Lost Boys, two John and Cathy duet albums, and three solo projects featuring John’s songwriting.
Their live performances bring it all to life. Joined by mandolinist extraordinaire Perry Cleaveland and award-winning bassist John Dancks, The Cadleys deliver a show that offers everything an audience comes go see: hair-raising harmony singing, virtuoso musicianship, entertaining audience rapport, and the feeling that they’ve enjoyed a truly special night of music.
