Mick McAuley Music Biography

A long-time member of the Irish-American supergroup Solas, Mick McAuley is a multi-instrumentalist and singer/songwriter. He plays melodeons, guitar, concertina, whistles, flute, and vocals. He has toured internationally for over 25 years and plays with Sting on his Theatre Production "The Last Ship".
His current solo album is described by Irish Music Magazine as "Brilliant." Mick tours as a solo artist featuring traditional and original songs and instrumentals, and often as a duet with Celtic Guitarist John Doyle. He has toured or recorded with many great folk artists including Sting, Solas, Martin Hayes, The Alt, CrannNua, Patti Larkin, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Paul Brennan (Clannad), Karan Casey, Niamh Parsons, Susan McKeown, Michael Brunnock, Mick Hanly, Paddy Keenan (The Bothy Band), Ron Kavana, Terry Woods (Sweeneys Men), Carlos Nunez, and many others..
2024 will see Mick perform shows with Celtic guitar wizard John Doyle. Tours of Germany and USA are scheduled. Also in 2024, a new solo album.
