Alex Southey

Southey makes dreamy indie folk and folk rock. He plans to release his fourth full length album in Fall 2025, entitled "Dogs Aren't Great with the Weather Change".

Southey began as a solo acoustic artist in 2019. With each subsequent release, Southey has developed an increasingly passionate fanbase, along with positive recognition, play, and coverage from CBC, Billboard Canada, Exclaim!, Dominionated, Canadian Beats, NXNE, Wintersong Festival, Tinnitist, The Sound Cafe, CHCH Morning Show, a slew of Canadian and American college and community radio stations, and select television series.

Southey created and began hosting the Canadian music interview podcast Your Worst Song in late June, 2024.
