About this concert
Jess Vincent, the English-born, Bulgarian-based singer-songwriter, returns to the UK after several years to perform new songs and highlights from her acclaimed Lions Den album. Katie Whitehouse, from Devon, has recently released her critically acclaimed debut album, Drawing Lines, featuring collaborations with Scandinavian artists and John Elliot of The Little Unsaid. Katie is known for her delicate vocals and insightful lyrics. The pair will be joined by special guest Dan Whitehouse, the Birmingham/Tokyo-based musician, who will accompany them on guitar and synth, who co-produced the "Drawing Lines" album. Dan says, "Two fantastic writers combining live for a magical double header. I'm preparing now to conjure up celestial sounds these two ethereal singer-songwriters deserve." Quotes from the Artists: Jess Vincent: "It's been over 5 years since I've gigged in the UK and I cannot wait to be back at some of my favourite venues, playing 'Lions Den' live with Katie and Dan - it's going to be special!" Katie Whitehouse: "I am thrilled to be heading into this tour with Jess Vincent. Playing these songs live for the first time is something I’m hugely looking forward to and I’m hoping these gigs will feel exquisite.”

Jess Vincent Biography

Jess Vincent is a highly original artist in the folk/indie/Americana acoustic scene. Lions Den was recorded in her home studio in Bulgaria, where she moved to in 2017. The album brings with it a thread of the people, stories, colours, flavours and instruments from her new life there as well as Jess's trademark subtle arrangements on guitar, baritone uke, banjo, harmonium and uniquely soaring vocal. Jess will also be playing old favourites from her previous three albums.
