Al'York

Al’York is an independent rock ‘n’ roll band, based in Ankara, Turkey formed in 2015. We bring together backgrounds in jazz, blues, punk, and folk. Our style can be described as rock ‘n’ roll, dark, bluesy. We’re very active in the local music scene and released our self-titled debut EP in May 2016. Our follow-up EP “Plastic Jungle” was released in April 2017 and now we will be releasing our new single in May of this year.

We recorded two EPs, one single and are working on releasing our new single. Our performances have been at well-known local venues such as IF Performance Hall, Noxus, Peyote and Karga, Middle East Technical University’s annual rock festival. We have played at a few festivals which include the main stage at Chill-Out Fest, MIX Festival at the Zorlu Performance Arts Center and more recently Epic Fair. We have opened up for international artists like Hanni El Khatibi and have played alongside other well-known local bands such as The Ringo Jets and Eskiz . We have also recorded sessions with Babylon TV in Istanbul and were selected as one of Turkey’s 2017 Red Bull Warm Up Bands. At the moment we’re getting ready to play our first gig overseas at YO!Fest located in Strasbourg, France and to release our new single..
