Continuing the tradition that began with their sophomore release of “Self Love”, Soul Food is excited to announce their fourth single “Girl” will also be accompanied by an invite only, intimate release party. Fostering the close-knit community of artists, musicians, and creatives Soul Food has found themselves immersed in, “Girl” was almost left unreleased if it wasn’t for the encouragement and requests from their closest friends. Fans of Silk Sonic will enjoy Soul Food’s faithful and loving ode to ’70s R&B with a distinctly light touch. Hearkening back to the extravagant sheen songwriter-producers polished soul music to which so many artists like Masego, Lucky Daye, Free Nationals, and Victoria Monet trace their roots to, “Girl” is an exciting trip back in time to a smoother era of music.

Soul Food is comprised of the members Spencer McNeill (Cam Chambers, Isaiah Small & Orange Music, The Ghost Club) and Tajah Russel-Smith (Real & The Xperience) who both carry notable accolades in their own right – including an upcoming 26 city American tour, opening for Chaka Khan, Action Bronson, 2 Chainz, & The Internet, press highlights in print, TV, radio, and more. After a serendipitous meeting at an art gallery opening, the two soon became creative companions their fusion of sound inevitable. The result, is Soul Food.
