Arne Skage Biography
Guitarist Arne Skage is a veteran within the blues, roots and Americana scene in Norway.
As a sideman from (Rita & Frank) Eriksen's heyday to over 30 years as blues king-pianist Reidar Larsen's right hand, Skage's distinct slide guitar has been heard on hits and stages in Norway since 1990.
Skage has collaborated in various projects with a number of top international musicians over the years; names like Roy Rogers, George Porter Jr, Doug Belote, John Papa Gros, John Mooney, Terence Higgins, Johnny Vidacovich, Cyril Neville and Roberto Luti to name a few.
In recent years he has been a producer winning Norwegian grammy for Daniel Eriksen's "Barefoot amongst scarecrows" (2020) and a nomination for Joe Rusi "Who I am" (2015).
In February 2021, the solo debut “Procrastination Blues” was released after having participated in over 70 record albums for other artists.
The record has received good reviews at home and abroad with top scores in Stavanger Aftenblad (No) , Nettavisen (No) and Bluesnews (No) . Dagbladet (No) 's music critic Øyvind Rønning had the album on his top 20 list of 2021's best releases.
Bluesblast Magazine (US) and Blues in the South Magazine (UK) were also generous with the superlatives as where Sound Guardian ( Cro).
