With over a decade of experience and nearly 1000 shows across the UK and Europe, Sam has established himself as an up and coming talent in the music industry. Drawing inspiration from soul, pop and rock, Sam’s unique sound is a seamless fusion of genres that always charms the crowd. His heartfelt songwriting evokes deep emotions and sparks thought-provoking conversations. Having shared the stage with renowned musicians such as Mike Love and Rae Morris, Sam’s performances are a testament to his passion for music and his ability to touch the hearts of listeners. From performing at prestigious festivals like Glastonbury and Boomtown to enchanting audiences at iconic music venues such as The 100 Club in London and O2 Academy Bristol, Sam has left an indelible mark wherever he goes. Despite currently playing 2 or 3 gigs a week mainly as a solo artist, Sam has been diligently developing his full band ensemble for many years. This is the setup he will be performing with at the Pilton Stage Finals, a prestigious battle of the bands competition where 1000 bands compete for the chance to play at Glastonbury Festival. It is an incredible achievement that Sam and his band have made it to the final 6! Sam has recently embarked on a new chapter of his life as a father. With this joyful milestone, time and resources have become more precious than ever. As a result, Sam has set up a DIY garden recording studio to bring his forthcoming releases to life. In this intimate and personal space, Sam plans to record and produce his music, pouring his heart and soul into each track. This DIY approach allows him to embrace his creativity fully while balancing the demands of fatherhood. The first release from this venture is the captivating track “How We Should Be Loved.” This song has already caught the attention of BBC Introducing in the South West, receiving airtime and generating excitement among listeners. This soulful song not only showcases Sam’s ability to connect with his audience on a deep level but also highlights his collaborative spirit through a partnership with Devon-based singer-songwriter Deano. Steve Henwood, Bath Fringe Director, describes Sam’s music as having a “classic vibe without being too retro,” while Claire Balding of BBC Radio 2 praises it as a “beautiful combination of voices.” The infectious joy and sheer talent that Sam and his band exude have even left Mike Love, a renowned musician, feeling “more happy to be alive.” Website: www.samevansmusic.co.uk Listen to 'How We Should Be Loved' https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JSfPRnEndLk Instagram https://instagram.com/samevansmusic Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/artist/4bfGdXqoyH5nmhU0smA8L1

Sam Evans Music Biography

For over 10 years, Sam and his band have been ‘on tour’ playing nearly 1000 gigs across the UK & Europe. He’s supported world-class musicians from chart-toppers Toploader to reggae music’s rising star Mike Love, performed at the UK’s top festivals including Glastonbury & Boomtown Fair and frequently secures live shows in venues across the South West. Sam writes and performs his original music which blends reggae, folk, jazz, blues (and more) with a genuine message of harmony, drawing influence from artists including Jack Johnson & Jason Mraz. Highlights have included playing to 5000 people at Concert At The Kings 2021, playing a 50-date tour with shows in Ireland, France and Romania, supporting world renown Hawaiian Reggae star Mike Love twice and performing an original song Harbour Masters House live on BBC Radio 2.

Starting out as a solo act in 2011, he has since teamed up some fantastic musicians who create a really spectacular live show. The band comes in many shapes and sizes, and never ceases to get people on their feet, singing and dancing with a smile, and his popularity is growing thanks to airtime on BBC Radio 2 and some popular youtube videos.
