Bleu Charrette Biography
Bleu Charrette est un duo « folk’n’roll » franco-britannique installé dans le Lot, dans le Sud-Ouest de la France. Le groupe est né en 2015, résultat d’un coup de foudre musical entre deux musiciens, l’un britannique : James Armstrong (auteur-compositeur, chanteur multi-instrumentaliste), et l’autre française, d’origine néerlandaise, Sacha Touw (chanteuse, auteure-compositeur, harmoniciste, guitariste).
De l'Irlande à l'Ouest américain, du folk au blues, du rock à la country, en passant par la chanson française, Bleu Charrette vous convie à un voyage musical aux inspirations multiples, interprété avec une complicité et un enthousiasme communicatif. Leur musique évoque les sonorités de leurs influences : Gillian Welch et David Rawlings, Neil Young, Lucinda Williams, Simon & Garfunkel, Bob Dylan, Francis Cabrel…
Bleu Charrette is an Anglo-French Folk 'n' Roll duo based in the Lot Department in the South-West of France. The group emerged in 2015 from what was love at first sight and sound between James Armstrong, Anglo-Irish singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist and Sacha Touw, also a singer-songwriter and harmonica/guitar player, a French national with Dutch roots.
From Ireland to the American West, from folk to blues, rock to country via French chanson, Bleu Charrette take you on a musical journey charged with multiple inspirations and interpreted with mutual understanding and driving enthusiasm. Their singing and playing tap into the wellspring of their influences: Gilliam Welch and David Rawlings, Neil Young, Lucinda Williams, Simon and Garfunkel, Bob Dylan, Francis Cabrel.
