About this concert
The Wilder Blue
Sharp storytelling. Gripping and gorgeousfive-part harmonies. Arrangements that can swing between fun, engaging, and lively one moment and stirring, booming, and chill inducing the next. These are the essential elements that make up the sound of The Wilder Blue, the Texas five-piece who put their own spin on rock-influenced country with their eponymous sophomore album. Recorded at Echo Lab Studios in Denton, Texas, the band self-produced The Wilder Blue with experienced engineer MattPence(PaulCauthen,ShakeyGraves). A true collaborative effort, The Wilder Blue is a genuine democracy where ideas, constructive criticism, and value is demanded by all parties. Built around the keen storytelling voice of primary frontman Zane Williams, Paul Eason’s salient lead guitar, the imaginative tandem of drummer Lyndon Hughes and bassist Sean Rodriguez, and the striking, compelling mind of multi-instrumentalist Andy Rogers, The Wilder Blue are only beginning to scratch the surface of their potential.
Josh Merritt
Authenticity can’t be faked. So when an artist hails from the heartland and shares stories drawn from personal experience, the music resonates in ways that genuinely express their passion and purpose. Josh Merritt is one of those artists.
The genuine sense of Josh Merritt grabs you the moment he starts to perform. This very powerful singer/songwriter has been described as a head turner and a performance stand-out by his peers and people from all around. His Southern Hospitality is immediately absorbed through the music that he makes and it's no wonder why his name is being heard more and more as he makes his way up the ladder of success.
A native of Owensboro, KY, Merritt has been making music since the early age of 9 years old after his father brought him home his first instrument. As a child he quickly picked up a love for writing songs and even more so for performing them. His warm heart and eagerness to entertain made him a natural on stage in no time at all.
Ole 60 is coming out of Western Kentucky. Their sound is a mix between southern rock and Americana music. You can find their latest EP, three twenty four, on all streaming platforms.
