Join us for an unforgettable evening of soulful melodies and heartfelt lyrics at Annalyse & Ryan Present: The Songwriters Lounge at City Winery Hudson Valley. This intimate and immersive concert showcases both established and up-and-coming songwriters from the Hudson Valley and beyond. Award-winning creative music duo Annalyse & Ryan and their featured musical guests take audiences on a journey through, and behind, their most captivating songs. Featured guests on September 12 are Mark Westin and Nicola Vazquez. Doors open at 5:30pm, Show begins at 7pm. This show is held in City Winery's explorative and vibey Boiler Room. MARK WESTIN is an Emmy-nominated songwriter and composer whose lyrics evoke Randy Newman, John Prine, and Harry Nilsson. He crafts character-driven narratives that are funny, biting, bittersweet, and human. Mark has recorded four albums and six EPs of original songs. His most recent album, Tales, was released in 2023 to international critical acclaim. Mark has performed across North America, in the UK and in Europe. He’s beloved by bikers and old ladies alike, and there’s a small cult devoted to him on the Belgium-France border. NICOLA VAZQUEZ -- Billboard Featured NYC Songwriter, Vocalist, Guitarist and former Broadway Performer Nicola Vazquez can do it all. Her show is a high-energy pop/folk-rock mix of driving beats, soulful melodies and intelligent lyrics all anchored by her sizzling vocals and rhythmic guitar chops. She has been featured in EMI/Songcircle Music, opened for Edwin McCain, Eve 6, and shared the stage with Ricky Martin and Muzz Skillings of “Living Color”. Nicola’s performances whether full band or “unplugged” reveal an innate ability to dazzle and draw in an audience with her fiery and dynamic presence. ANNALYSE & RYAN are an award-winning dynamic creative music duo whose original songs take listeners on a soulful, rootsy journey, “resounding from the hollers with a haunting beauty” (Jeff Biggers, Huffington Post). With sweetness and severity, Annalyse & Ryan’s strong harmonies melt together seamlessly with an undeniable edge.
