About this concert
The Foothill Fillmore will be such a special place this night! Folks who have been attending festivals over the years will know what I mean! This collection of musicians is amazing and what they bring to the scene we so love is just …….. Don’t be late for this show, Northern California Phenom’s and rising stars Brokedown Compass Bluegrass will be opening the show with their fun! More to come on this show, but get those tickets! The High Hawks are a group of musical friends who hail from various jam and Americana bands: Vince Herman, frontman and festival ring leader from Leftover Salmon; Tim Carbone, ace fiddler and multi-instrumentalist from Railroad Earth; Adam Greuel, ring leader and guitarist from Horseshoes & Hand Grenades; Chad Staehly, keyboardist from Hard Working Americans; Brian Adams bassist for DeadPhish Orchestra; and Will Trask, drummer from Great American Taxi. The six musicians/raconteurs were looking for a way to play music together, so they formed The High Hawks in 2019 and released their eponymous debut in 2021. “We have a real common musical bond, and we just wanted to find a reason to hang out as birds of a feather and play tunes with each other,” Herman explains. The band will release its second full length album, Mother Nature’s Show, on February 16, 2024, via indie roots label LoHi Records. Kyle Ledson Biography

Ever since he picked up a fiddle at the age of three years old, Kyle Ledson has drenched himself in music, taking influences of bluegrass & The Grateful Dead to create his own original music for a more modern “Jamgrass” scene. His first album release, “Crooked Mandolin,” saw him collaborating with childhood heroes like Hot Buttered Rum, the T Sisters, and the incredibly talented Molly Tuttle when he was just 14 years old.

Kyle’s sophomore album, “Left It All Behind,” was released in 2021 when he was 18 years old. The stellar record of mostly original tunes featured members Yonder Mountain String Band, ALO, & Hot Buttered Rum.

“This 18 year old man is an extraordinary talent in the world of bluegrass/Americana. His skills on mandolin and flatpicking guitar are rare. His songwriting abilities make him the total package. He's only 18, but he has the sort of skills many can't achieve over the course of a lifetime.”
