Socially Suspect

Doors at 7:00 pm, Music at 8:00 pm Lunar Moth is a three-piece doom-pop outfit from Madison, WI. Sludgy riffs, spacey vocals, fuzzy bass, and hard-hitting drums. The band consists of three friends from a small town, who then moved to a bigger town to play music, and now play in all sizes of towns. Milwaukee's premier noise pop band, The Living Johnsons, consists of Roe, Paige, and Sabrina. Their music toys with the dichotomy between pop vocals/melodies and harsh, experimental instrumentals with fuzzy bass tones and heavily distorted guitars. Their locally favored first demo tape was released on December 1st, 2023, engineered by Chris Hoyolda in their friend Evan’s basement who is also featured playing both bass and guitar on those tracks. The Living Johnsons’ music is loved by many including, Tamagotchi enjoyers, those religiously traumatized, friends who wear both spiked collars with pearl necklaces, Midwest weirdos, non-binary people, angels, fish, and people who know what color “Sunset Orange” looks like when talking about hair dye. Superglue is a shoegazey punk band from Milwaukee. With influences spanning genres including pop punk, grunge, jazz fusion, and progressive rock, Socially Suspect brings a unique brand of alt-rock to the Milwaukee music scene. Socially Suspect’s songs are as diverse as they are catchy. The band’s groovy basslines, grungy vocals, jazz fusion-tinged lead guitars, energetic drums, and anything-goes attitude take listeners on a unique genre-bending journey.
