About this concert
Bob Dylan’s 83rd Birthday Celebration
Sunday, May 19th at 7:00 PM
‘Blood on the Tracks’ at 50
September 16-19th, 1974 found Bob Dylan in a Manhattan studio to record what would be regarded as one of his greatest albums, Blood on the Tracks. In late December of that year, he suddenly decided to re-record several of the tracks in advance of the release of the album in January, 1975.
This year’s Dylan birthday celebration centers on the 50th anniversary of its recording. While you’ll hear many of the songs from that esteemed album, you’ll also hear other Dylan songs — both familiar as well as possibly unfamiliar — from his extensive catalogue.
The artists include: The Kennedys, Rod MacDonald, Russ Seeger, Steve Kaplan, Tom Ryan and Mark Mancini with special guest Mary Lee Kortes (who, in 2002 recorded a track by track cover of the ‘Blood on the Tracks’ album.)
Seats are limited to 100 for this annual event, which is always a sell-out.
The Sunday Street Series is a collaboration of WUSB’s Sunday Street Series, The Long Island Museum, and The Greater Port Jefferson Arts Council.

Hello fello Music Fans
We drove from Savannah GA to see the Kennedys in person for the first time
We went with daughters family, and brothers family to a small venue-Live at Teds
Maura and Pete Kennedy were beyond all expextaions.
Pete is the most amazing guitarist/ musician I have ever witnessed in person.
Maura, song writer, guitar player/singer is better in person than even her videos.
Their original music is exceptional. The cover songs wonderfully done!
After a susbstanial career- their newest music album is one of their best.
We will travel to see them again whenever reasonable.
Maura and Pete
Thank you for a wonderful evening

The Kennedys Biography
“I arrived at The Kennedys show in the foulest of moods….Two hours later, I didn’t want to be anywhere else….I could not have found a better antidote.” - Jim Daniels, Elmore Magazine, November 2016
In a career that now spans two decades, New York duo Maura and Pete Kennedy have traversed a broad musical landscape, surveying power pop, acoustic songwriting, organic rock rooted in their early days in Austin, and a Byrds-inspired jangle that drew the attention of McGuinn, Steve Earle, and most notably Nanci Griffith. The duo co-produced Nanci’s latest CD, and are currently touring the US and the British Isles with the Texas songstress.
