Randy McDonald, celebrated as the veteran bassist of Tommy Castro & The Painkillers, marked
an incredible 30-year journey with the band. Last year, they achieved six nominations and
clinched three prestigious awards at the 43rd Blues Music Awards in Memphis.
Now, Randy steps to the forefront with his new venture, ROAD DOG REVUE. Teaming up with
exceptional musicians, the band delivers an electrifying mix of original compositions and
timeless covers, guaranteed to get you moving.
Drawing from Randy's solo recording, "On The Wildside," the group explores diverse genres like
R&B, 50's Rock'n'Roll, Tex-Mex Border Rock, Swing, and a touch of Jazz and Boogie. As a major
contributor to Tommy's music, Randy has been a driving force since the band's inception. As
Philip Elwood (San Francisco Examiner) once noted, "Randy McDonald creates intricate bass
lines that weave through the tunes, and he can take the lead on raucous R&B and original
