Jadel Le Gere Biography

Jardine Cherelle Le Gere, also known as 'Jadel,' is an independent recording artist enthusiastic about music from the island of Trinidad and Tobago. She's a singer, songwriter, pianist, and mother. At the age of 9, jadel discovered her passion for music. Her first official steps in music began in her school and church choir. She sang in the choir well through her secondary school years. As an adult, Jadel migrated to the United States, where she worked with popular Caribbean bands Surface and Traffik in 2011. In 2014, she collaborated with established Soca songwriter and producer Kernal Roberts on the hit single ‘Haunted’ by Machel Montano. In 2016, she won the Carib Breakout Artiste Award with her hit Chutney Soca release 'All of It' and ventured onto a European tour that covered the United Kingdom, Switzerland, and Spain.

2018 was phenomenal for her; she became a mom and released two hit singles, "Round and Round" and "Dominate." With the success of 'Round N Round' taking her to the 2018 Trinidad Soca monarch finals, Jadel followed that year by teaming up with Soca artist & producer Motto for 'Jam Day' which became a favorite during the 2019 Trinidad carnival season and gaining her a spot in the 2019 international Soca monarch semifinals. This success encouraged jadel to pursue a North American Caribbean tour, where she became the opening act for Kes The Band at the world-famous Best Buy Theatre in NYC.

In 2020 Jadel was signed to new management under the JP Music Group, a newly created sub-division of Soca Music’s top marketing entity Julianspromos LLC, led by owner Julian Hacket. This lead to the debut of Jadel's album entitled 'Call Me Jadel' which highlighted her past hits 'Dominate,' 'Round N Round,' 'Jam Day,' and 2020's R&B Soca-infused single 'Hold Me Close' all written by Jadel. 2021 saw Jadel venturing more into Groovy Soca by releasing the hit single and music video for "Deserve It All" by Jadel and co-written by Kitwana Israel, which merged Soca, R&B, dancehall, and Afropop. 'Deserve It All' became Jadel's most streamed song with over 6 million views globally and reached notable platforms such as BET Jams and MTV.

In 2022, Jadel sourced the writing skills of Soca artist Problem Child for the 2022 hit single & music video for 'Yuh Man' of the Queendom Riddim. She also released the party anthem entitled 'Up In D Party' of the Buddy Pass riddim written by herself, which debuted on BET. In February of 2022, During Trinidad's "Taste of Carnival" season, She went on to grace the stages of over 30 events, with fan-favorite events: Illusion's Black and Blue featuring Voice and Patrice Roberts, and Vibes with Voicey featuring Voice. Jadel also had the opportunity to give a few intimate performances at Digicel's No Time Like Now featuring Voice, Nadia Batson, Patrice Roberts, A-Team Band & Friends, and Queens In Soca Featuring Nailah Blackman and Destra Garcia. In March of 2022, Jadel started a more extensive international tour, taking her music to Saint Kitts, Antigua, Toronto, Canada, London, New York, Miami, and Singapore.

2023 saw Jadel shaking things up with the release 'Shake Up' featuring Demarco out of Jamaica, off the Benna Riddim featuring Lyrikal's "Look Back ."After performing at over 60 shows for the 2023 Trinidad Carnival season, including Soka In Moka, Sekon Sunday, Xperience Fete, Out in South, Army Fete, Fire Fete, and Vibes with Voicey to name a few, Jadel carried this success into New York with a performance at the famous Kings Theatre in Brooklyn, New York. Jadel followed up with her NY performance by getting booked to perform in first-time locations in Belize and Japan.

For 2024, Jadel is preparing to release her soon-to-be-titled second album, which will be released in March of 2024. Jadel has recorded several new Soca songs for her upcoming album, including 'Doh Ease Meh Up,' 'Garbage Day,' 'Fire Body,' 'Wah Yuh Doin,' and 'Addictive' featuring world-renowned Dancehall artist Charly Black out of Jamaica. Jadel has also released music videos for her songs ‘Wah Yuh Doin', 'Fire Body,’ and her latest release ‘Calypso.’ ‘Calypso’ touches Trinidad and Tobago's true essence, heart, and culture. Future releases included a Music Video for her collaboration ‘Addictive’ with Charly Black, A soon to be released song and music video with Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta TV personality and music artist Karlie Redd, and a project with legendary Dancehall producer Christopher Birch.
