About this concert
Join us for a special evening with the healing arts, singer-songwriter, Mariee Siou. Touring her latest music from the Circle of Signs EP, and also bringing a collection of her older material to the evening as well.
Mariee Siou has been a fixture in the Neo-folk scene since her 2007 debut Faces in the Rocks—now acclaimed as a cult classic in the indie music world. She is revered for her intricate finger-picking and poetic mysticism, often drawing, as from the ether, immense feeling through a voice of soft potency and otherworldly wordsmithing. Over the years, after teaching herself to play guitar at 18, she has come to be known as a healing singer and as a visionary artist, channeling and transmitting medicinal qualities through her music. She has been hailed as "one of the true gems of modern-day folk music” and has been acknowledged as “a rare combination of poet, musician, activist, healer, and storyteller—someone truly using art in the way it’s intended to be used.” Mariee has released 3 full length albums and has a new 4 song, self-released EP ‘Circle of Signs’, which was released spring of 2023, and has also collaborated on projects with the iconic Hope Sandoval (Mazzy Star) and Will Oldham (Bonnie 'Prince’ Billy).
Don’t miss your chance to catch her magic and mesmerizing performance live this spring of 2024!
