Posey Hill

After performing their first "gig" in a guest spot at a small bluegrass festival in 2002, father Doug Burnett and daughters Kristian Miller and Erin Wisniewski were asked to come back that same night to play again after the headlining act after the request of the festival goers. Loving the response, Kristian picked up a big ol’ bass shortly after and Posey Hill was formed. Megan Burnett (daughter #3) joined along in 2016 with her bluesy singin' chops and songwriting skills.

Doug Burnett (vocals, guitar) is a Medical Sales Consultant, living in the small town in Central Arkansas where he grew up and raised his family. Doug’s songwriting skills and harmony vocals round out the group’s sound. He also carries Kristian’s bass, which she appreciates.

Erin Wisniewski is a power house singer and can hold a note longer than anyone else in the band; something she is very proud of. She is also a fantastic Dental Assistant in Little Rock.

Kristian Miller sings high harmonies and plays the “dog house bass” because somebody had to. Often seen cutting up and teasing Erin, Kristian is the owner of a small cafe in their hometown.

Megan Burnett adds that touch of blues the band was needing and has written some of their best songs. Known as the “cute one”, Megan is a nurse liason for a home health company

An Arkansas Country Music Awards Nominee (2018), Posey Hill has performed in such places as Silver Dollar City in Branson, MO, Leander Bluegrass Festival in Leander, TX, South on Main and Sticky Fingerz in Little Rock, AR, Musicfest, El Dorado, AR, Mountain View Bluegrass Festival, Mt View, AR, and competed at Rockygrass Festival in Lyons, CO. They have been featured on KATV-Arkansas three times.

Doug raised his girls right with the best female singer/songwriter influences: Linda Ronstadt, Bonnie Raitt, Stevie Nicks, Emmylou Harris, Dolly Parton, and more. Drawing inspiration from Sarah Jarosz, The Wailin' Jennies, Trio, Sheryl Crow and Alison Krauss, Posey Hill pleases a wide audience.

Bringing a "sweet, lonesome" sound to the Americana/Indie-grass scene in Central Arkansas, Posey Hill is currently booking shows for 2024/2025
