Der griechisch-schwedische Singer, Songwriter und Multiinstrumentalist bewegt sich auf seiner 2024 erscheinenden EP Salamina (Nettwerk Music Group), die diesen Sommer veröffentlicht wird, nicht auf demselben Terrain oder lässt sich vom Rhythmus der Vergangenheit treiben. Die Musik, die den klagenden Gesang mit einer üppigen Klangarchitektur verbindet, gleicht dem Moment, in dem man in einen Traum fällt.
Zusammen mit dem Produzenten Björn Yttling (Lykke Li, Peter Björn & John, First Aid Kit) erweitert Plàsi organisch seine Klangpalette, geht über die Singer-Songwriter-Tradition hinaus und erreicht cineastische Höhen, die von einem mutigeren Sound und Ehrgeiz getragen werden. Begleitet von seiner Band bringt er diesen neuen Sound auf der Salamina Tour durch ganz Europa auf die Bühne. Inspiriert von so unterschiedlichen Künstlern wie Blanco White, Henry Jamison, Efterklang und Phoebe Bridgers hat Plàsi sorgfältig einen eloquenten Stil entwickelt, der ätherische Akustikgitarren und warme Vocals miteinander verbindet.

If you lean into the winds of change, you’ll take flight in the direction of your destiny. Plàsi embraces a natural inclination towards evolution. Rather than tread the same territory or comfortably drift into the rhythm of the past, the Greco-Swedish singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist steadily shifts course in his upcoming releases.
Joined by producer Björn Yttling (Lykke Li, Peter Björn & John, First Aid Kit), Plàsi organically expands his sonic palette, stretching beyond singer-songwriter tradition, and reaching cinematic heights buoyed by a bolder sound and ambition on his upcoming EP ‘Salamina’. The next single ‘Avignon’ (out April 19th via Nettwerk) marks a departure from his usual style, and creates a musical fusion that surprises even himself.
Inspired by artists as diverse as Blanco White, Efterklang , and Phoebe Bridgers, Plàsi carefully crafted an eloquent signature style, tying together threads of ethereal acoustic guitar, lithe production, and warm vocals. It evolved across 2016’s Now & Then EP, 2018’s People LP 2019’s Mystery EP, and 2022’s Foreign Sea LP. Reacting with listeners, Sorrow gathered 15M+ Spotify streams and counting, paving the way for collaborations with Axel Flóvent, Aisha Badru, and more. Along the path, he also toured internationally with the likes of Hollow Coves, Henry Jamison , and José González.
