[FR] Peppe Voltarelli est un chanteur, auteur-compositeur-interprète, acteur et écrivain calabrais. Il est actif depuis 1990 en tant que voix fondatrice et leader d'Il parto delle nuvole pesanti, un groupe folk italien culte. En tant qu'artiste solo, il a sorti sept albums studio, quatre bandes originales et deux concerts. Il a remporté trois fois le Prix Tenco, avec « Ultima notte a Malá Strana » en 2010 comme meilleur album en dialecte, avec « Voltarelli canta Profazio » en 2016 et avec « Planetario » en 2021, tous les deux comme meilleur album interprète. Il a été l'acteur principal et co-scénariste du film « La vera leggenda di Tony Vilar » de Giuseppe Gagliardi, le premier faux documentaire italien. Il a collaboré avec Claudio Lolli, Teresa De Sio, Sergio Cammariere, Otello Profazio, Roy Paci, Carmen Consoli, Bandabardò et Amy Denio. Une activité de concert toujours intense l'a amené à jouer dans 23 pays à travers le monde et ses disques sont sortis en Europe, en Argentine, au Canada et aux États-Unis. Sa dernière œuvre, l'album « La grande corsa verso Lupionòpolis », a été enregistrée à New York et publiée par Visage Music en 2023.

Hij is sinds 1990 actief als oprichter en leider van Il parto delle nuvole pesanti, een cult-Italiaanse nieuwe folkband. Als soloartiest heeft hij zeven studioalbums, vier soundtracks en twee concerten uitgebracht. Hij won de Targa Tenco driemaal, met ‘Ultima notte a Malá Strana’ in 2010 als beste album in dialect, met ‘Voltarelli canta Profazio’ in 2016 en met ‘Planetario’ in 2021, beide als best presterende album. He has been active since 1990 as the founding voice and leader of Il parto delle nuvole pesanti, a cult Italian new folk band. As a solo artist, he has released seven studio albums, four soundtracks, and two concerts. He won the Targa Tenco three times, with “Ultima notte a Malá Strana” in 2010 as best album in dialect, with “Voltarelli canta Profazio” in 2016, and with “Planetario” in 2021, both as best performer album. He was the lead actor and co-writer of the film “The true legend of Tony Vilar” by Giuseppe Gagliardi, the first Italian mokumentary.
