About this concert
Attention teenagers of the 1960s! We’ve got an evening full of the greatest hits of the era featuring the band that, in 1967, Billboard Magazine called “The Most Listened to Band in America”: The Buckinghams (“Kind of a Drag,” “Don’t You Care,” “Hey Baby! They’re Playing Our Song,” “Susan.” They’ll be joined by one of the most beloved family acts of the 60s, The Cowsills (“The Rain, the Park and Other Things,” “Hair,” “Indian Lake”). 16 hit records! 5 original band members! Plus The Shades of Blue singing “Oh How Happy” and more Motown favorites and, back by popular demand, PBS-TV star Chris Ruggiero.

Chris Ruggiero Biography

Chris Ruggiero takes his audiences on a journey through the golden age of rock and roll, breathing new life into the timeless music of the 1950s, 60s and 70s. Chris has been described as an “old soul” at 24 years old, whose approach to his concert appearances is more in line with that of a bygone era than it is the artists of his generation.

Chris first came to national attention when he performed in concert on one of PBS-TV’s coast-to-coast broadcast specials, which still airs to this day. Since then, Chris has been traveling around the country delivering his unique brand of vintage rock and roll, including sold out shows in Las Vegas, Cleveland, Florida and New York.

Chris has released 5 albums including “I Am Chris Ruggiero” which features original arrangements from legendary arranger Charlie Calello on timeless classics such as “Wouldn’t it Be Nice,” “My Cherie Amour,” “The More I See You” and “This Magic Moment.” Calello has had over 100 national records as an arranger and producer, having worked with Frankie Valli, Frank Sinatra, Barbra Streisand, Neil Diamond and Glen Campbell, to name a few. Chris says, “Charlie is the epitome of musical genius.” Having completed the project, it appears the admiration is now mutual. Calello commented, “It’s been a long time since I heard a voice like this. Chris doesn’t chase the music. He brings the music to him and he does it without vocal tricks. That’s rare today.”

His album, “Quiet Nights,” features only his voice and the masterful pianist Chris Tamburr re-imagining pop-rock classics like "Up on the Roof" and "The Long and Winding Road." Christmas of 2022 was a high point as Chris released his first Christmas album, including a duet with Darlene Love that landed him on the Adult Contemporary charts, on Good Morning America and with features in Rolling Stone and Forbes.

“When I’m on stage singing a classic love song and I look out into the audience and see that twinkle in their eyes, I know they’re thinking about a special time and place in their life - or maybe their first kiss!” Chris says. “It’s magic.“ For Chris, entertaining is not a vocation, it’s a way of life.
