Occidental Fool’s Parade "A performance art piece, spontaneously created by people". Join us for this marvelous, ridiculous, silly and spectacular community tradition - The Occidental Fool’s Parade and Party! Saturday, April 6th. Since declared so by Emporer Zero the Clown in 1976, the village of Occidental has been witness to (and creators of) an Annual Fool’s Parade on the first Saturday of April. Fools of all ages parade in their finest silly attire and wind through downtown led by the Hub Bub Club. Even more fools gather downtown to witness the spectacle, and all are welcome at the Fool’s Party! Come to Occidental (roads close at 12:30 PM) to see the parade, enjoy our fine downtown, and follow the parade of fools to Occidental Center for the Arts for the free Fool’s Party! Family-friendly fun awaits including live music, art activities, circus performers, giant bubbles, great food & more. Come to Occidental and enjoy a Spring outdoor tradition that celebrates music, creativity, and a chance to be a little silly! You never know what you might see at the peculiarly wonderful, flagrantly foolish Occidental Fool’s Parade.
