His place in the continuum of a storied lineage begins with his surname, Birckhead, and extends to his extensive musical education and work ethic as a visionary approach to life as a rising leader. Ebban & Ephraim Dorsey are the next generation of the Baltimore saxophone tradition. The young superstars were nurtured on the Baltimore jazz scene by legends like Gary Thomas, Carl Grubbs, and Tim Green and have gone on to play with national recording artists such as Jose James, Kamasi Washington, Tia Fuller, Kenny Garett, Wycliffe Gordon, and many more.
