The Fallen Heroes (Official)

Thu March 28th – The Fallen Heroes ‘Easter Parade’ Special: For this timely Easter celebration the band will be showcasing some of the classic Irving Berlin songs from ‘Easter Parade’ all performed in the unique Heroes style as well playing other exciting old favourites all helped along the way by the noted Kansas City boogie pianist Dean Ross. Expect to hear an interesting mix of swinging classics & originals, hot rhythm & blues and a dash of ska, including numbers by Ray Charles, Fats Domino and Chuck Berry & more all influenced by the jazz and blues of New Orleans where band leaders Ben and Emile Martyn grew up. The Martyn Brothers’ musical history includes playing with the likes of Dr John, James Cotton, KT Tunstall and Ronnie Wood among others. The band draws on the musical energy of the American South but with a twist, writing original compositions in a funky New Orleans manner but in a more contemporary London style.
