After critical acclaim of the last album “Wild Cat” also produced by Timo Gross, and after french and german tour, Véronique was eager to get back to german studio. Mutual love for Blues they both share, makes this new album evident contribution to the Blues-Rock genre.
“Animal” contains 10 original songs, mainly inspired by traditional Blues with modern and urban sounds and offering a large range of colorful atmospheres.
For the listener the choice is varied, between energetic and groovy rythme (Animal-love is a shelter…) and intimist tuneful songs (in the hand of the Blues-wicked shot – good Blues on the radio…) with special guest, first-class harmonica player Paul Lassey on shuffle “Let’s go crazy”.
Whole songs led by the very personal deep vocal signature of the singer and outstanding arrangements of Timo Gross.
Surrounded by a new team of professional musicians of French renown (Yannick Eichert guitare backing vocals – Jérôme Spieldenner drums – Jérôme Wolf bass) for the upcoming International Tour, Véronique Gayot will reveal on stage with communicativ Energy, all the wild sides and spicy secrets of this new album “ANIMAL”.

Véronique Gayot, la chanteuse blues-rock française, est unique! C’est un concentré d’énergie comme on en trouve rarement. Sa voix est unique, reconnaissable entre toutes. Son expressivité ressemble à celle d’un chat sauvage. Elle est forte et directe mais néanmoins vulnérable. Elle chante comme si une seule vie ne suffisait pas. Sa voix grave et rocailleuse s’inscrit dans la lignée des grandes Voix du Blues.

Après un premier album “WildCat” encensé par la critique, fruit d’une collaboration avec Timo Gross, le Label “Grand Cru Record” produit avec Véronique Gayot un deuxième album “ANIMAL” pour début 2021. La passion mutuelle que Véronique et Timo partage pour le Blues, fait de ce nouvel album une contribution évidente au genre Blues-Rock.
Ce nouvel album “ANIMAL” distille 10 titres originaux, essentiellement inspirés par un Blues traditionnel avec des sons modernes et urbains, offrant une large palette d’atmosphères colorées. Pour l’auditeur le choix est varié entre rythmes énergiques et grooves à souhait (Animal – Love is a shelter…) et chansons intimistes (in the hand of the blues – my daddy was a sailor…) sans oublier la participation de Guests de renom comme l’harmoniciste Paul Lassey (Let’s go crazy).
Chaque chanson est emmenée par la signature vocale très personnelle et profonde de la chanteuse et les arrangements remarquables du Bluesman Timo Gross.
