Labyrinthrash

LABYRINTH is a Thrash Metal band based in Houston, TX. Formed in 2021 by South American frontman, Jorge Montaño, with the focus of twisting the classic old sound of Thrash Metal and bringing it to the new era.

In May of 2022 the band released Inside / Outside [Demo 2022]. A three-track demo that contains 15 minutes of pure Thrash Metal, with the first known lineup, fronted by Montaño, Tommy Crawford, and former members Hayden Masters (Exitium) & Angel Yong.

The success achieved by their first demo built a pathway for Labyrinth to make a huge impact in the underground Houston Thrash Metal scene. Performing local, regional, and out-of-state shows in their first year as a band. During the winter of 2022, Labyrinth parted ways with Masters & Yong. Followed by a tragedy. In February of 2023, former guitarist Angel Yong was found dead at 21 years old.

During this period of time, Labyrinth was working to find a new sound for the band with new members. Presenting the addition of CJ Ackerman on guitar & Matthew Fernandez on drums. In March of 2023, the band made its comeback appearance at the well known festival Hell’s Heroes V in their hometown, followed by their second out-of-state tour in the summer of 2023. Since their comeback, the band presented a darker and heavier sound with their crispy classic Thrash adding a spice of Black and Death Metal.
