If you like bands that incorporate the positive elements of the Levellers, Saw Doctors and Celtic folk/rock generally you need to get acquainted with Roving Crows. They offer great live performances and intelligent song-writing.
All this was apparent at Bath's Chapel Arts Centre gig (18th October) when they opened proceedings with the magnificent fiddle-powered instrumental 'Phoenix', delivered a crowd-pleasing two-plus hours set and sent the audience home happy with their own cover of Avicii's 'Wake Me Up'.

Your only chance of seeing them in 2024 is Hay-on-Wye (7th December) and Malvern the following week (tickets are going fast) but they already have indoor gigs and festival appearances lined up for next year - and there is the welcome likelihood of a new album. Much to look forward to!
