Mitch Laue Music Biography
Mitch Laue , from Elma, Iowa, started playing guitar when he was 9. In high school he got his first taste of entertaining at the high school variety show doing some Elvis and Chuck Berry. Seeing how the crowd loved it, thought it was the way to go. Anesthesia was the first band he joined in '89. Based out of Cresco, Iowa, they played bars, street dances, and backyard parties. In '90, Teacher's Pet formed out of Osage, Iowa and played with them for a year until they broke up. He hooked up with Mico and Dave Reed at that time and began working on originals and cover tunes. Scratch formed with Mico, Dave Reed and Mark Voigt of Anesthesia, and put out an LP called "Quote the Raven" which had good local success. After years of playing with different bands like Catch 22, Ginger Pop, 2nd Hand, and Six Shooter, Mitch focused on The Bar Flyz to continue playing live venues. His collaboration with Mico on drums also helped produce many original songs including albums like Captain McBones, self titled 2nd Hand, Wicked Brew, and many other singles. These can all be heard on Reverbnation.com/MitchLaue. Mitch to his band mates is known as the human jukebox. If he's heard it he can probably play it. And with Mico's ability to follow right along, together they can pull off just about any request if it was a popular song. Mitch loves to do acoustic shows on the side as well sometimes with band mates or by himself. Living in Waverly now, Mitch continues to line up shows for The Bar Flyz and his own acoustic shows all across northeast Iowa. He uses WRK guitars and Marshall amplification. Somedays he even sports some wild crazy pants which have their own fan page by the way. Mitch's great singing and awesome guitar playing always turn the crowd on and leave them wanting more.
