About this concert
Trio Anima Mundi heads to Bendigo's beautiful Langley Estate as they illuminate the desparing darkness of the 2nd PIano Trio by Dmitri Shotakovich. In contrast, they present the jewel-like exuberance of the 7th Trio of Carl Reissiger - part of their ongoing The Reissiger Project.

Trio Anima Mundi Biography
International award-winning Trio Anima Mundi has been presenting concerts that bring an eclectic mix of repertoire from the great masters to little-known works since its inception in 2008. Praised as a 'trio of vitality, charm and aplomb' (The Age), the Trio's members - Kenji Fujimura (Piano), Rochelle Ughetti (Violin), Noella Yan (Cello) - are seasoned performers and have gained a reputation for excellence and a sumptuous sound world. Their 2013 debut CD - Romantic Piano Trios - has been hailed as '...a top recommendation' (Fanfare USA), '...beautifully recorded in well-balanced sound, with consistently affectionate performances' (Gramophone) and 'as to chamber music this has to be the CD of the year and, perhaps, many years to come.' (Wrightmusic UK) and was selected as a Musicweb International Recording of the Year in 2013. Their latest recording - English Piano Trios - became a Musicweb International Recording of the Month upon its release in January 2020. Current projects include The Reissiger Project, a world-first survey of the complete 28 piano trios of Carl Gottlieb Reissiger.
