Lillian Leadbetter Biography
Lillian Leadbetter—creator and vocalist of Lillian and the Muses—is a singer, songwriter, multimedia artist born and raised in rural Vermont.
At the end of a dirt road, her earliest musical influences emerged from the melodies of song birds, whispers in the trees and long nights singing to her father's guitar.
Her music lends itself to Indie, Folk, Pop, American, Country and singer songwriter sensibilities. Her romantic outlook and songwriting coalesce into heartfelt lyrics and evocative melodies.
Lillian has been performing and composing original music for the past decade with influences ranging from Anaïs Mitchell and John Prine to Lana Del Ray and Rachael Price.
Her choral and folk roots are omnipresent in her work, creating a unique fusion of melodic and stylistic structure. She studied music at Berklee College of Music, and graduated with a bachelor's degree in Anthropology and a minor in Music from the University of Vermont.
