Påsklovs-kul med Aurelia och Vodouorkestern!

En färgsprakande musikföreställning med stor orkester och multikulturella dancehallstjärnan Aurelia Dey. En blandning av Stockholm Vodou Orchestras världs/jazzmusik och Aurelias, inspirerat av ghanesiska traditionella rytmer och afrobeat samt nyskrivet material.
Texterna behandlar den allmänna och mänskliga inre, både omedvetna och medvetna, vardagsrasismen och hur vi kan befria oss från den och bli likvärdiga människor som kan tillåta kärlek och kraft flöda istället för att låta rädsla och hat ta över.
Dramaturgiskt gör vi en musikalisk resa, en poetisk odysse genom en imaginär vodouceremonis olika delar såväl som en bönestund med Gud. Vodou är den traditionella religionen i Ewe-området i Västafrika, där Aurelias släkt kommer ifrån, en kristen släkt som Aurelia också är. I Ewe-området har Kristina studerat många år och även initierats till drottning. Ceremonier sker i shrine, som på svenska kan betyda skrin. En hemlig ask full med drömmar, ett tempel, ett heligt utrymme. Pararellt kan ceremonin kopplas till likt en meditation eller Gudstjänst där en kommunikation med Gud, Kristus, andra profeter eller ancestors sker. Denna bild kan användas för att få publiken att fokusera för en stund på sina drömmar, sina förfäder, sina förhoppningar, sina rädslor osv.

Liliana Zavala Biography
Since her childhood, Liliana has had a great interest in art and especially music, which eventually became her main priority. She learned to play the drums in Argentina and started touring full-time as a musician at the age of 17. During her travels around the world, she has been influenced by many different genres and traditions and has worked in various projects within Latin American folklore, including Salsa, Rock, Latin Jazz, World- and Modern music. She has absorbed skills for various kinds of percussion from the plethora of traditions and percussionists she has come in contact with.
Liliana studied fine arts as her major at The University of Córdoba. This way, she could integrate her artistic and musical work, making sceno- graphy for performances and concerts. In 2001 she received the Unesco art grant to study Cuban percussion at ISA (Instituto Superior de Arte) in Havana. Today she is studying a Bachelor in Folk music/Art music from other cultures at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm. Her extensive performance and recording credits include studio recordings, theater, SVT (Swedish National Television) and live performances, as a comp musician as well as with her own projects.
Liliana has been influenced from many different parts of the world and has a genuine passion for what she does and a strong belief in the positi-�ve impact that music and art has on people, and its power to touch their hearts. This is her driving force and the main reason she has chosen to work with music.
