This will be Sarah’s fourth performance in this lovely multi-disciplinary arts and cultural centre in rural County Dublin. Once again, in addition to the evening concert, she will also be giving a 90-minute workshop on the DADGAD guitar tuning from 3:30pm to 5pm in the same venue (workshop fee €20, combined concert and workshop ticket €30). See https://sarahmcquaid.com/workshops for workshop details and testimonials from previous participants.
“One of the most instantly recognisable voices in current music.” —Neil March, Trust The Doc
Sarah McQuaid’s lush, chocolatey voice combines with her engaging personality, “subtle mastery onstage” (Huffington Post) and “brilliant musicianship” (fRoots) on acoustic and electric guitars, piano and (occasionally) drum to create a truly immersive experience.
Born in Spain, raised in Chicago, holding dual Irish and American citizenship and now settled in rural England, she brings the eclecticism of her background to her “captivating, unorthodox songwriting” (PopMatters) and choice of material, spanning genres and defying categorisation.
All this is abundantly demonstrated by her new live album and video series The St Buryan Sessions — but needs to be savoured in person to be fully appreciated.

Sarah's voice and presentation leave one in a rare place of inner calm. One cannot help but be drawn into her stories and songs.
Her interpretation of Les Feuilles Mortes (Autumn Leaves), breathed new life into a once popular song being lost to time.
She has a very unique style, reminiscent of Joan Baez, Marianne Faithful, and Janis Joplin with a cutting-edge modern delivery, and her own unique musical signature delivery. Her use of electronic loop technology was minimal, yet mesmerizing.
