Mario Bakuna

Line up: Mario Bakuna on acoustic guitar and vocals. João Gilberto, the great pioneer of Bossa Nova in Brazil in the late 1950s, is the focus of this special concert performed on guitar and vocals by Mario Bakuna. Featuring reinterpretations and Mario Bakuna’s own compositions, the audience will be treated to traditional elements of samba, syncopated rhythms of plucked chords, along with more contemporary jazz. After sold-out nights in the UK, Portugal, France and the Netherlands, Mario now has the pleasure to perform his 'Tribute to João Gilberto' for the first time in Brussels at Le Baixu.
