Dr. FU Biography
Dr.FU is a dynamic rock cover band known for its energetic stage shows and high-octane-rock versions of hits from the 80's through today. FU has entertained thousands, at events such as Big Night DC, Celebrate Fairfax, ShamrockFest, BlocktoberFest, the U.S. Marine Corps Marathon, Broadlands Live, Clarendon Day, and FreedomFest, performing in notable area venues such as the 9:30 Club, the Clarendon Ballroom, Nationals Park, Power Plant Live, RFK Stadium grounds, and FedEx Field. FU also provides entertainment for private and corporate events; FU has worked with municipalities such as Loudoun County, the City of Falls Church, South Riding, Fairfax County, the Town of Herndon, and Arlington County; and with professional sports teams such as DC United and the Washington Nationals. FU features a collection of experienced musicians who have shared the stage with national acts such as Third Eye Blind, the Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Biohazard, Naughty By Nature, Rob Base, the Sugar Hill Gang, Super Diamond, White Trash, Dee Snider's Widowmaker, Sick of it All, Vicious Rumors, Agnostic Front, Wayne Newton, Arlo Guthrie, Larry Gatlin, Maynard Ferguson, Herbie Mann, and Arturo Sandoval. FU won the WUSA*9 "A List" competition for "Best DC-Area Band" and the South Riding Battle of the Bands. FU has been featured in the Washington Post (Editors' Pick), The Post Express (1 Top Stop), The Washingtonian (What to Do Tonight), On Tap Magazine, the DC Citypaper, Voice of the Hill, the Washington Times, and the Loudoun Times-Mirror.
