About this concert
Nerve Centre is thrilled to announce that Moving Pictures - Rush Tribute will return to the venue on Fri 1 November 2024. This power trio, selling out venues across the UK, is one of the premier Rush tributes performing today. For over two hours, they'll cover classics like Tom Sawyer, The Spirit of Radio, and Xanadu (with double-neck guitars), as well as deeper cuts such as By Tor and later hits like Far Cry and Headlong Flight. Upon seeing their moving arrangement of Afterimage, Rush guitarist Alex Lifeson wrote: "Very moving and beautifully done. Heartfelt thanks to the band for their kind tribute." Regularly featured at Rush fan conventions, with recordings on all 3 Songs for Neil albums, and having performed for and with Rush producer Terry Brown, Moving Pictures - Rush Tribute promises a full night with two sets and over two hours of Rush's music, including the complete Permanent Waves album!

Moving Pictures - Rush Tribute - Scotland Biography

Power trio MOVING PICTURES are a Rush tribute at the top of their game. Playing over 50 gigs in 2023 including Lakeside Park in Canada for Neil Peart's family.
Favourites of Planet Rock's Darren Redick - who has been known to join them on stage.
They have recordings on all 4 Songs for Neil tribute albums, including performances with Terry Brown, Hugh Syme and Jacob Moon.

On hearing their original arrangement of AFTERIMAGE, Alex Lifeson wrote "Very moving and beautifully done. Heartfelt thanks to the band for their kind tribute."

Featuring drummer Jamie Dunleavey - this young lady from St Andrews is scarily on point.
It takes a unique set of skills to sing AND play bass AND play keys like Geddy Lee - John Power is incredibly accurate.
Guitarist Steve Brown is a lifelong Rush fan and pro player with way too many guitars and wicked sense of humour - not unlike a certain Mr Lifeson.

"They had only been on stage for mere minutes and already my face was aching from the sustained grin.
These strangers who weren't actually Rush made me feel as though I was finally attending a legitimate Rush concert.
The accuracy with which they all play while still maintaining a lighthearted approach to their performance is, well, it's exactly as you'd expect from Rush themselves."
Mark Reid - Rockfiend

"To emulate 3 of the highest musical calibre artists, with such gusto, was seriously impressive. "

“That was the 3rd best Rush show I’ve ever seen. The first 2 were Rush.”

"My Villa has never been so brilliantly strangled."
