The Kite String Tangle Biography
Danny Harley aka The Kite String Tangle is a prolific producer, singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and label owner hailing from Brisbane, Australia. With a string of Gold certified releases and awards under his belt, he's back with new single 'A New Day'.
The track follows 2023 releases 'Fist Fight' and 'Euclidean' - the first new music in 3 years and sees Harley leaning further into his melodic techno & house influences.
His 2nd studio album 'C()D3X' (March 2020) featured singles ‘P()L4R’, ‘KILLING TIME (feat. Eliott’) and 'NORTH'. The critically acclaimed album explores his eclectic electronic influences in a move that was warmly embraced by fans, triple j and international tastemakers.
Harley originally broke out with adored singles ‘Arcadia’ and ‘Given The Chance’ taken from his debut EP ‘Vessel’. His debut self titled album was released in July 2017, featuring singles ‘Selfish’, ‘The Prize’ (feat. Bridgette Amofah of Rudimental) and ‘This Thing We Got’ which gained international attention and earned an ARIA award nomination.
The Kite String Tangle has a reputation as a world-class live act, having sold out headline shows across the UK, US and Australia. He’s performed at festivals including SXSW, Splendour In the Grass, Primavera Sound, Great Escape, Groovin The Moo and made a guest appearance at Coachella (with Adventure Club).
