Hidden Highways

Hidden Highways is the collaborative name for Tim V. Smyth and Carol Anne McGowan. The duo deliver quiet Americana-inflected folk, combining waltzing guitars and blended vocal harmonies. The two started working together in late 2010 and their eponymous four-track EP was released in April 2012 on Out On A Limb Records. Over the following year they toured at home and abroad supporting The Staves, Lucy Rose, John Smith and Gemma Hayes along the way. 2012 also saw them awarded the RTE/RAAP breakthrough bursary for best emerging musical performers in their genre. Their debut Album 'Old Hearts Reborn' was released on the 13.09.13 on Out On A Limb Records And received much critical acclaim ( Hot Press 8/10 Irish Times 4/5 ). Songs have been featured in the US T.V. series "The Red Road" and the Dutch crime drama film "Gluckauf" . The duo recently played two sell out shows at the Kilkenny Roots festival and can be seen live over the coming summer months in Ireland.
