About Honeytalks

HONEYTALKS is a punk rock threesome from Northeast Wales known for their energetic and captivating music. Following the success of their debut EP 'Over it,' which received an overwhelming response across all streaming platforms, the band is back with their highly anticipated follow-up release. Their distinct sound and memorable performances have garnered them recognition and support from influential platforms such as BBC Introducing, Kerrang Radio, and Music Networking 101.

PRESS:
BBC Introducing: HONEYTALKS gained support from BBC Introducing, with tracks like 'Parachute' and 'New Heights' catching the attention of Adam Walton. He enthusiastically praised the band, stating, "This takes me right back to the 90's, what a band!"

Kerrang Radio: The band secured second place in 'Kerrang Radio's The Deal' competition, which offers the winning artist a coveted slot on the main stage at Download Festival.

Music Networking 101: Jaret Reddick from Bowling for Soup, a respected artist in the punk rock scene, was impressed by HONEYTALKS' talent. He exclaimed, "Guys, that's a fantastic track! The caliber of the band; like Jesus Christ, we should go on tour. People would lose their God damn minds!"

RECORDING WITH PHIL GORNEL:
In May of 2022, HONEYTALKS caught the attention of renowned producer Phil Gornel from Steele City Studios in Sheffield. Phil, a multi-award-winning producer, has worked with esteemed artists such as All Time Low, You Me At Six, Bring Me The Horizon, Deaf Havana, and Stand Atlantic. Recognizing their potential, Phil invited HONEYTALKS to record their second 5-track EP under his guidance and expertise.

MUSICAL STYLE:
HONEYTALKS seamlessly blends new, modern pop punk energy with the heartfelt lyrics and guitar-driven choruses reminiscent of old-school emo. Their music strikes a balance between raw intensity and melodic hooks, creating a captivating and memorable experience for listeners. One distinctive element of their sound is Lauren's drumming style, inspired by the legendary Travis Barker, which adds a fresh dynamic to their punk rock sound.

BAND MEMBERS:
Adam Scott: Guitar and Vocals

Dave Griffiths: Bass and Vocals

Lauren James: Drums and Vocals

PHILOSOPHY AND MESSAGE:
HONEYTALKS' music embodies the concept of "Hope for the hopeless." Through their lyrics, the band tackles real-life scenarios from the perspective of social misfits, exploring both positive and negative experiences. Their songs reflect the struggles and triumphs of individuals who may feel marginalized or misunderstood, resonating with a wide audience who seeks relatable and authentic music.
