About this concert
Scrap Arts Music’s performances are a spectacular and intoxicating mix of music and movement that transcends language, culture, and age. With hand-crafted instruments using found materials such as accordion parts, aluminum scraps, and even artillery shells, Scrap Arts Music takes musical invention, recycling, and environmental consciousness to new heights. Their “upcycled” creations transform into over 145 unique mobile sculptures capable of exhilarating music. Layer this in front of their all-new full-length b+w film, featuring band members and instruments, inspired by the 1927 sci-fi cult classic "Metropolis", and you have an exciting evening of music to be assured! Don't miss this debut performance of "Children of Metropolis" in Washington state, in its inaugural year of touring. You'll have the bragging rights for life!
