Ransomed by Grace

Ransomed by Grace is more than just a music ministry. From the beginning of the ministry Ransomed by Grace has ministered not just through song alone, but through powerful testimony and the preached Gospel of Jesus Christ. This has made Ransomed by Grace stick out from the crowd in the world of music ministry. Many come to hear songs, but leave with a much deeper impact on their spiritual lives than music alone could achieve.

Ransomed by Grace began its ministry after former country singer Willie Parlier stepped out of the bar scene after fighting almost two decades of addiction. In 2018 Willie began to be heavily convicted to leave the secular music scene even after removing the subject of drugs, drinking, and other unbiblical topics from his music. Weeks before the release of his full length album “Tree in the Woods”, Parlier announced that he would no longer be singing secular music. After a stepping away from music completely for over a month Ransomed by Grace was formed and him and his wife Kelly Parlier began writing Christian Music.

Originally starting as a solo singing ministry with Willie and his wife writing songs and Willie singing them, the ministry quickly began to be sculpted into what it is today. Their son Connor Johnson quickly expressed a desire to sing with his dad and began standing side by side with him in the ministry. As they began playing publicly people began to realize that Ransomed by Grace was more than just another singing group, but a unique Gospel sharing experience of it’s own.

In 2018 Connor expressed his desire and calling to write a new Ransomed by Grace song under the name “Mercy.” To date Mercy is one of Ransomed by Grace’s most popular songs. Almost two years after it’s release Connor’s song Mercy sparked a revival in the small community of Star Tannery, Virginia. After planting the seed along side video’s shared on Ransomed by Grace’s YouTube channel - a small group of friends in the community plagued with drugs, drinking, and partying gave their lives to Jesus and began to fervently share the Gospel throughout their community.

Today Ransomed by Grace is built up of front man Willie Parlier (Vocals, keys, and guitar), front man Connor Johnson (Vocals and bass), Connor’s cousin Jacob Johnson who plays lead guitar, and Willie Parlier’s cousin Matthew Robbins who plays the drums. Jacob’s wife Alisha Johnson often tours and sings with Ransomed by Grace as well. The ministry travels throughout states on the east coast of the United States of America passionately sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with a focus on reaching the youth and those bound by addiction in a nation crying out for The Savior!
