Sally's singer/songwriter career has been a long and varied one involving solo albums, bands (The Poozies, Fotheringay, Sandy Denny Project), duo (Joni Mitchell Project, with Vicki Genfan, with Brooks Williams, with Anna Ryder) and trio (IOTA) projects. Also Sir Tom Jones' finalist on the Voice 2014, Sally's pandemic re-imagining of the Tom Jones song 'It's Not Unusual' has racked up over 3 million YouTube views ( you can see it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ws6at5NlGtA ). Support slots over the years include Bob Dylan and Robert Plant amongst many others ! In June 2020 Sally uploaded a YouTube video of her re-imagining of the Tom Jones song 'It's Not Unusual' to celebrate the venerable singer's 80th Birthday. So far it has racked up over 3 million views and divides opinion amongst fans of the Welshman's classic (you can see it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ws6at5NlGtA ) She subsequently released this slowed down version a download single. Sally's version highlights the mournful and yearning lyrics to give the song new meaning. The significance of this recording ? Sally was Tom's finalist on The Voice UK in 2014 and although people mistakenly think she won, such was the impact she had on that show, Sally walked away without the main prize, coming in joint 2nd. However, in March 2020, all live music was cancelled due to the world-wide pandemic. Sally, like her fellow musicians, remained at home surviving, creating and occasionally live streaming. Sally's real talent is as a live performer and she is excited to be back performing.
