Don Alder - solo concert and workshop in Maisach The Canadian, multi-award-winning fingerstyle guitarist Don Alder will perform at Beer & Guitars in Maisach on October 13, 2023. The two-hour workshop “The Tonal Toolkit” will take place in the morning on October 14th 2023, at the Maisach Brewery . Don Alder has won several international guitar competitions; the singer/songwriter/composer comes from Vancouver, Canada. He has been touring internationally since 2007 and delights his audience with an entertaining, varied show. Visitors to his concerts are still enchanted by the impressions even days later. Don Alder is easy to deal with fans and anyone who has met him in person knows that his heart is as big as his talent. Alder's specialty is combining the fingerpicking technique with the simultaneous use of the guitar as a percussion body to create a wall of tones. His self-composed pieces are a unique combination of deeply anchored melody and rhythm, and he brings a unique dynamic to the stage when he performs. Don Alder is also one of the best harp guitar players in the world. Don Alder (International Fingerstyle Competition winner in 2007, Guitar Player Magazine 2010 Guitar Superstar Champion and Worldwide Guitar Idol winner in 2011) has over 4 million views on YouTube. In 2013, he also received a Brand Laureate Award in Malaysia for using his guitar and music to improve the lives of others. His last two CDs were each nominated for two Canadian music awards. In February 2021, Don Alder was inducted into the Entertainment Hall of Fame in his home province of British Columbia.
